Fiorentina asking for Marouane Chamakh, Arsene Wenger has confirmed.
Arsenal's Morocco striker was a bit-part player last season and has previously been linked with a return to Bordeaux.
But Italy could be the 28-year-old's next port of call after Wenger said: "Fiorentina requested information on his availability and made an offer."
Chamakh's agent said earlier this summer his client could stay at Arsenal if Robin van Persie left the club.
But the Gunners have signed two forwards in Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud, and even van Persie's decision not to extend his contract appears unlikely.
