Valencia’s former left back Jordi Alba has officially signed for Barcelona.
The 23-year-old signed five year contract worth €14 million to return to Camp Nou.
Alba attended Barcelona’s famous La Masia youth academy from 1998 to 2005.
After spending time on loan at Gimnastic Tarragona during the 2008-09 season, Alba returned to Valencia to score five goals and made 74 appearances in three years.
The young Spaniard has earned 11 caps to date and was ever-present in Spain’s Euro 2012 winning side, even scoring Spain’s second goal in the final against Italy.
Alba will be a big part of new coach Tito Vilanova’s plans for next season.
